Story
All around
the world, Pretty Cures have been fighting against the invasion of the enemy
known as Saiark! Hime Shirayuki, the Blue Sky Kingdom princess is in fact a
Pretty Cure, but unable to defeat the enemy alone, she is fallen behind
the others and is in a quite a terrible situation. Then, on her quest to find a
partner, she meets Megumi Aino (Cure
Lovely) and they begin to battle the enemy together. Having learned that
assembling all PreCards, one can get any one wish fulfilled, the team up with
the fairy Ribbon to protect the world peace, transform, dress up and form
change as they fight! With the dress-up theme beloved by girls, a completely
different Pretty Cure story begins!

Like Cure Sword previous series, Cure Honey and Cure Fortune aren't introduced her civilian form by Toei itself until the middle of the series. Unfortunately, all first names for the Cures in this series are all hiragana again, let's hope that the next series didn't hold this tradition like what Futari wa, Yes! 5, Heartcatch, and Smile does.
Megumi Aino (愛乃 めぐみ Aino Megumi) / Cure Lovely (キュアラブリー Kyua Raburī)

Like Tsubomi from Heartcatch, she's the only one to usually tie her hair among her team in civilian form, this time in ponytail. The protagonist whose redeeming features are her happy-go-lucky attitude and smile. When people who feel troubled or depressed want to be left alone, she unintentionally meddles in their issues but her awkward personality often her attempts for doing so ended in failure. However she thoroughly looks to the positive and is skilled at seeing the good in people. She has an interest in cute fashion, but her sense of it isn't as good as Hime. Her standard signature color is pink, and she can change into two alternate forms, the red Cherry Flamenco (チェリーフラメンコ Cherī Furamenko) and the yellow Lollipop Hip Hop"(ロリポップヒップホップ Roripoppu Hippu Hoppu).

To save the Blue Sky Kingdom from being totally ruled by the evil organization of the Phantom Kingdom (where she curiously open the Axia Box to cause this happen), she becomes a Pretty Cure, except she is easily scared and will immediately try to escape from in the middle of fights. Because of her shyness, she never had friends until meeting Megumi. Her standard signature color is light blue, and she can change into two alternate forms, the dark blue / purple Sherbet Ballet (シャーベットバレエ Shābetto Baree) and the green Macadamia Hula Dance (マカダミアフラダンスMakadamia Fura Dansu).

Megumi's classmate and best friend, who she nicknames "Yuyu". Coming from a bento shop family, she often pratices cooking and enjoys tasting different kinds of food. She is also known for her homemade honey candy, which she gives to others to cheer them up. In episode 10, she reveals herself to be the singing Pretty Cure, Cure Honey, who had received a Crystal of Love from Blue prior to the series and first appeared in Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage 3: Eien no Tomodachi, officially joining the team in episode 11. Her main weapon is the Honey Baton (Triple Dance Honey Baton in roleplay toy and CM), which uses three modes; Baton / Microphone Mode for singing soothing melodies that put her enemies in a trance, Ribbon Mode which lets her tie up her opponents with ribbons, and Maracas Mode which lets her heal her allies. Her alternate forms are blue Popcorn Cheer (ポップコーンチア Poppukōn Chiā) and orange Coconuts Samba (ココナッツサンバ Kokonattsu Sanba).

Previously aloof Cure helps the weak and has a strong sense of justice and a gentleness when she consoles people. With her sense of duty as a Cure and her excellent fighting skills, she goes on her own to bring down the Saiark one by one and wants to avenge her sister, Maria Hikawa (Cure Tender), who was one of the victim Cure by Phantom, but holds a grudge against Hime who was responsible for opening the Axia Box, causing that to happen. Her standard signature color is purple. Although has PreChanMirror and LovePreBrace, she lost it at her hopeless battle against Phantom in Episode 22, and was replaced by Fortune Piano and Fortune Tambourine as exchange, as well as two alternate forms which are pink Anmitsu Komachi (あんみつこまち Anmitsu Komachi) and turqoise Pine Arabian (パインアラビアン Pain Arabian).

Hime's mediator, who
comes to Japan along with her, serving as fairy partner for Megumi, Hime, and
Yuko. Despite her cute appearance, she is silver-tongued and much more gutsy
than Hime. She has the ability to convert the positive feelings of those freed
from the Phantom Empire's mirrors into PreCards. She often ends her sentences
with "desu wa" or something rich-polite like what Alice and Aguri from DokiDoki! Pretty Cure do.

Iona's fairy partner.
Usually very calm like her partner, Glasan can convert positive feelings into
PreCards for Iona to use. She often ends her sentences with "da ze".

The spirit of Earth, resembling
a handsome young man in celeste hair, who is often referred to as
"God" (神様 Kami-sama). He travels to different countries in
order to find candidates for new Pretty Cures, bestowing Crystals of Love onto
them which grant them their powers. Originally staying in Blue Sky Kingdom for
a long time, he comes to Japan along with Hime and Ribbon. He watches over both
Hime and Megumi on their battle against the Phantom Empire. He appears to have
strong ties with Queen Mirage.

The Phantom
Empire (幻影帝国 Gen'ei Teikoku) are
the homeplace antagonists of the series. Having been released from an Axia
Box (アクシアボックス Akushia Bokkusu) by Hime,
their goal is to conquer kingdoms and eradicate love by turning people's
happiness into sadness, despair and terrible.

The main
antagonist of the series and evil queen of the Phantom Empire, who detests
loves and relationships, referring it as "Happiness' Instant, Love's Mere

Shiawase ha Isshun, Ai ha Maboroshi)". She resembles
a butterfly and wields a staff. It was revealed that she was once a
shrine maiden somewhere in Japan and also fell in love with Blue before Red
brainwashed her until she's purified by Innocent Purification in Episode 43.

Deep Mirror is the
mastermind of the Phantom Empire and Blue's older brother. He acts as Queen Mirage's advisor and gives
orders to the commanders. He appears as a figure insides the mirror and show objects
for her, even brainwash any of the cadres.

Empire's commanders. A strict yet egotistical man who wearing a military
uniform with a gold medal and has a glasses shaped on his hat. His Saiarks’
environment is barrens wastelands and dark clouds. His name is based on the
phrase ore suki (俺好き, "I
like it").

One of Phantom
Empire's elite commanders. An unruffled and courageous man who holding a sword,
wearing a white coat and has a gauntlet on his left arm, he is known as the Pretty
Cure Hunter (プリキュアハンター Purikyua Hantā),
who is very powerful to defeat many Pretty Cures, sealing them in coffin-like
mirrors with red ribbons when they're just in shiny colored towel. To seal the warrior, he can summon restraints to bind her midair and finishes her with red beam that will directly seals her into the mirror, another one is she's finished without that first reason, he can telepathically float the unconscious Cure to make them disappear and reappear again sealed with his attack Eternal Gauge (エターナルゲージ Etānaru Gēji) or summons big energy ball that can do the same when throwed into the target with possibly the same attack (unless these three ways are interrupted by another Cure's attack). He is very loyal to Queen Mirage but holds a strong grudge against Blue for disrespect or
mentioned his master.
It's revealed that he's Mirage's partner, didn't know what to do after she got brainwashed and in Episode 30, can transform into Unlovely by using Cure Lovely's shadow. After the final battle for Forever Lovely and Red, he decided to remain in Earth as Yuuko's partner, helping in Oomori Gohan as Phantom.

Saiarks (サイアーク Saiāku)

The monsters of
the series, which are distinguished by their sunglasses and scarves. They are
summoned when a commander of the Phantom Empire traps an innocent human within
a dark mirror, reflecting their happiness into darkness and suffering. When
they are defeated, the trapped human is freed whilst the energy retrieved from
the Saiark is converted by a fairy into PreCards. Their name is derived from
the Japanese word saiaku (最悪,
"worst").
Choiarks (チョイアーク Choiāku)
A group of
underlings that work for the Phantom Empire, wearing black suits with white
gloves and boots and red sunglasses. They never speak proper sentences but
always take orders from the commanders. Their names are derived from the
Japanese word choi (ちょい,
"little"). They turn white when they get purified by a Pretty Cure's
attack. These are where Form Change 3D main attacks usually goes to.
