Happy New Year 2012!

You think today it's too soon to celebrate New Year's Day, but now I'm going to change my background! This time is Youkai Navi Runa. Feel free to save my own wallpaper (but I'm too shy to see my wallpaper being used in another blog) to become my New Year Present and my previous, current and next blog wallpaper! I hope I will write even more and better reviews about anime, manga, and games to cheer you up. But I hope this year is not doomsday...

Spells in Youkai Navi Runa

This is a list of spells in Youkai Navi Runa. Because I ever read Nakayoshi Gress! in Indonesia, I will tell you the jutsu with translation from Indonesia to English.

1. Rin, Byo, To, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen!: This is Runa's kuji spell. She draws lines like a grid to make a star. This spell will able to hurt the fairy (Chapter 4), and release the fairy's spell (Chapter 9).
2. Lead to the that World, Tenpo, Tennai, Tensho, Tempo, Tenkin, Tenshin, Tenchu, Tennin, Ten'ei: This spell will use Runa's necklace. It will open the gate to the Fairy World. In the manga, so far Runa had send Kamachi, Shizuku, Kantaro, The Phoenix Bird, and Kazan to the spirit world with this spell.
3. Tenpei Kitarete Ware o Tasuke, Fushin o Tsukuraseyo, Bankifukuzouseyo, Fubishoenfu, Kyuukyuu Nyoritsuyou: This is Jufu (the spell to avoid the disaster) spell. Runa create some card-like and sends it into something (ex: trees in Section 3).
4. Kinzei, Jitsugetsususeishin, Hachihoshojin, Soteireiigo, Sekiteisekihyodo: This Tai's spell will requires Eternal Ball and this spell will call the black spiral to the sky to make corals and when it exposed, it will melt and disappear.
5. Saisei, Keiwakusei, Chinsei, Taihakusei, Shinsei no Gotei, Help me and clean up the existing stain, Goshinken!: This Runa's spell will requires her necklace. When it used, the Goshinken sword will appear.
6. I became the messenger god of heaven, this sword is not a random sword, but the forged steel sword, once the sword is lowered, devils would not be able to avoid, Hayoken: This Tai's spell will required his pendant with the oval shaped above the medal. When it used, the Hayoken sword will appear.
7. O Taizanfukun! O Messenger of the Gods in heaven! Please Turn Back Those who are already dead! Tenpo, Tennai, Tensho, Tempo, Tenkin, Tenshin, Tenchu, Tennin, Ten'ei: Unlike sending the Fairy back to the Fairy world, Runa uses this to revive Mokke and Suneri back to life again.
8. Messenger of the Gods Change Time, Sansen, the Spirit who lives in the valleys, I invite countless troops, led by the gods of the Fairy World: This is a spell to open the portal of Fairy World. With her necklace, she shout the Sanskrit language spell "Ban, Un, Taraku, Kiriku, Aku" and throw her necklace to the portal to close it. 

For those who have read Nakayoshi Gress! in Indonesia, you will find this easily (because my origin is Indonesia, you can use Google Translate if you can't understand English language), if not, you must wait until the English volumes release by Del Rey (sorry about that). Youkai Navi Runa

Ok, this is my first post. Enjoy!
Youkai Navi Runa (妖界ナビ・ルナ Youkai Nabi Runa) also known in English as Fairy Navigator Runa.

   

  The novel version. Above is first series (10 volumes), 

Second series (Youkai Navi Runa II, 2 volumes?) 

And below is Shin Youkai Navi Runa (5 volumes, ongoing). I'm still going to find the picture though, so keep on looking! II and Shin I take from Amazon.com

 Based by the light novel by the same title by Miyoko Ikeda (author) and Aya Kotozuki (illustrator). And the manga by Miyoko Ikeda (author) and Michiyo Kikuta (illustrator). Youkai Navi Runa have 10 arc of the novel published in March 2004 until January 2007 , also Youkai Navi Runa II from September 2007 until March 2008  and Shin Youkai Navi Runa until now has 2 arc from June 2009 until January 2010. (published by Iwasaki Shoten), but the illustrator now is Sunaho Tobe. I don't know much is the second series still ongoing or not, but I know about the story.

   

The completed 1-7 manga volumes. Only includes Volume 1-5 story of the first series of the novel.

The story is about a girl name Runa Rindou. She loves to day dream most of the time and lives in a orphanage. Runa tends to be a klutz who always thinks about foods. One day a girl called Suneri and a boy called Mokke came and called her Densetsu no ko (the legendary child) because of her silver pendant. The silver pendant and the scab on Runa's back of neck are the evidence of her being the densetsu no ko.

That night, Runa discovered that her pendant went missing and went to look for it, but got attacked by a Youkai (Magical creature) called Kamachi. Kamachi wanted a ball called Yu-ukyu no Tama (the eternal ball) and it is said that only the Densetu no ko knows where it is (Runa doesn't know about it). The Yu-ukyu no Tama is a powerful ball and the one who gets it is the boss of the whole Youkai world! Kamachi caught one of Runa's best friend, Chae. Because of that Runa got fed up and opened her third eye (in the scab on the back of the neck). She said she won't forgive Kamachi but after she remembered Towako-sensei's (the teacher at the orphanage) motto "Always have a forgiveful heart" Runa decided to return him to the Youkai's world. Runa had also talked with a boy called Tai who knows Runa after she help Michi, her best friends.

Characters

 

Runa Rindou (竜堂ルナ Rindō Runa) 

The heroine of this manga. Half human and half spirit, where her father, Seigo is Omnyouji while her mother, Renmei is wolf spirit. Nice and outgoing, her hobby is guessing the lunch. Her third eye is in the scab on the back of the neck. She can use kuji spell and her mother's spell to return the spirits to the spirit world, also her spell in her necklace that will make Goshinken sword appear. Her birthday is January 1st. The designs difference between novel and manga is she has antena-like in the top of the hair (novelof the first series), but the manga she hasn't. When in her true form, she has yellow hair in novel while in manga she has silver hair.

Tai Rindou (竜堂タイ Rindō Tai)
Runa's twin younger brother. He changes when he was a baby, he was taken by the strange young man for the Black Omnyouji, getting the Eternal Ball. His third eye is in the right hand. He can use different kuji spell from Runa. But he can use the dark power so he can get Fire Ball in Chapter 18. His other spell is his spell in his necklace that will make Hayoken sword appear. His birthday is January 1st. Deads when his third eye destroyed and Runa don't want him to go.

Mokke (もっけMokke)
A fairy. he usually appears as a boy or an owl, hes a little bit bratty.

Suneri (スネリSuneri)
A fairy. She usually appears as a beutiful girl or a white cat. She acts as Runa`s big sister. Differences between designs in novel and manga is her hair is black (novel) instead of brown (manga)

Kazan (カザンKazan)
The dog that Tai always has with him. 

Ms. Towako (都和子先生 Towako-sensei) / Rensui (レンスイ Rensui)
She used to work at the Children of the Stars School. She raised Runa like a mother.

Renmei (レンメイ Renmei)

Runa and Tai's mother. The princess of Takuhaku country, the country of fairies. She is a fox fairy who can travel from the spirit world to human world and vice versa. Falls in love with Seigo and married with him, but died after Runa and Tai was born.

Seigo Rindou (竜堂清吾 Rindō Seigo)

Runa and Tai's father. Born from the Onmyoji family which hereditary eradicate fairy, but he is fall in love with Renmei and married her. He died after seal baby Runa and baby Tai's third eye.

That's some of the whole story. Oh, the manga until now was in 7 volumes . Each volumes has its own special edition and special edition plus. The manga can we read at Nakayoshi too! The English version was released in Del Rey. We hope it also have anime of this soon.
