Pop Cutie Street Fashion Simulation

Yay! Due to Try Out in my school, my class have holidays until Wednesday! I do my usual sparetime in my blog, now reviewing games again. It's very highly recommended for fashion gamers, mainly...

Yes, you're right! This is Pop Cutie. It's known as That's QT (ザッツキューティ) in Japan, which is a fashion designer simulation game. You players can design your very own clothing brand while running your very own business in the city. Firstly released in Playstation in January 27, 2000 only in Japan, while Nintendo DS release this game in April 24, 2008 in Japan and September 30, 2008 in US (finally!). Both console version were published and developed by Koei.

Story
When the game begins, the player wakes up and washes their face in their bathroom. Each time their face is washed, they can change their character's profile from six different expressions. During the following interview, the player can give their character a name and gender (male or female). If they answer the following quiz questions correctly, they will get a small prize. (Is that so?)

Though there are short story segments separating the stages throughout the game, the majority of the gameplay is separated into three stages.

Gameplay
Heart----CATCH! We've got a keyword!
Like the real fashion designer should do, you, as the player, has to find their inspiration in order to design their clothing. How to do so?
  1. Collecting keywords from everyday events. Keywords are either terms referring to a clothing genre (red) or images (blue). When a keyword pops up, the player can "catch" the highlighted word.
  2. Colors for their clothing, another component for designing clothing, can be determined by the three colorful flowers the player sees in the street.
  3. Enter their design studio where it provides a designing desk, which you can then use to combine various genre and image keywords. Clothing items may be categorized as: hairstyle, glasses (or general makeup), top, bottoms, shoes, outerware (includes full body outfits such as one piece dresses), or cartoon costumes.
  4. When a piece of clothing has been made, you can decide whether they want to include the piece of clothing into their shop's catalog
Once you follow these steps well, you will take a step forward for your virtual dream! Good luck!
Once you make this advertisement, the costumers will marching for buying that thing.
Another feature you can do is Fashion Maker and Fashion Battle. Fashion Maker is a magazine that you can read each 2nd day of the month. Fashion Battle is alike Fashion Show... I think. You can pick the clothes within each chosen theme, and the designer with highest points wins, if you win, than you will earn more fans!

The theme of Fashion Battle will be chosen here. Pay carefully!
Overall, music it's quite good, but will bored if you play that continuously, but fortunately by recorder in the studio, you can change your music if you want. Graphic is good too but too animatic I would say. But if you wanted to be fashion designer, or want to run the business in the game, this is the MUST for you. For more info, you can check the wiki here. So, see you in the next review!
